Solar cell fabric openness
The openness of sunscreen fabric means the rate of small holes interlaced by warp and weft of shade fabric, using fibers of the same color and diameter to weave the same texture, the ability to block solar radiant heat and control glare with a smaller aperture ratio is stronger than that with a large aperture ratio.
Fabrics with 1% to 3% openness can block the heat generated by solar radiation and control glare to the greatest extent, but natural light will enter less and the transparency effect is relatively poor. Therefore, we usually recommend it to be used in the directions of some sun irradiation (such as the west) and when the curtain wall is transparent glass to solve the problem of strong thermal radiation and dazzling sunlight.
Sunscreen fabric with 10% openness can obtain good natural light and transparency, but its performance against solar radiation and glare is worse. We generally recommend using fabrics with 10% openness in some sun exposure directions (such as the north), and also in some colored glass curtain walls, which have obtained the best natural lighting and transparency.
5% openness sunscreen fabric is generally widely used, it blocks solar radiation, control glare and get natural light and good transparency, we generally recommend that the south can be used, and according to our making experience, 5% openness fabric is really more popular among all the fabrics especially the fine grain fabrics.
